1 Bedroom Apartment in Le Cure, Firenze
With it's eclectic mix of Art Deco and 20th century furnishings, my apartment near the Botanical Gardens is the perfect place to unwind. The flat's private garden is a great place to relax after a day of sightseeing. Located in a quiet neighborhood just a short walk (20 minutes) from the historical city center sits my charming one bedroom flat. There are also busses going into the historical center a block away. The apartment is located in a small building of four units.
This older and quaint Florentine neighborhood is the perfect place to mingle with the locals. There are a handful of trattorie (restaurants) within walking distance. There is a farmer's market (mercato delle Cure) ten minutes away on foot. It is a great spot to pick up locally grown organic veggies and fruit, not to mention meats, cheeses and fish. It is open daily 8a.m. to 1p.m. The neighborhood has every convenience, including a supermarket, bank, pharmacy, coffee and icream shop. The Florence Horticulture Gardens are just a 5 minute walk, housing the largest tepidarium in Italy (built in the 1880’s), these gardens are open to the public daily. Free entrance. It is a breath of fresh air in the city and has some of the most amazing views of Florence.
A patio set for outdoor dining, and a BBQ, makes for a relaxing in-house dining experience. There is free, unlimited internet (wifi) throughout the apartment, as well as a stereo.
For those renting a car, there is paid parking in a large, covered lot 5 minutes away (Parterre). There is also street parking in front of the building (for those lucky to find a spot). Street cleaning is on the first Monday of every month so cars must not be left on the street between the hours of 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
There are buses leaving the Parterre area (5 minutes from the apartment) going to and from the historical center (bus C1); Michelangelo Square & SMN Train Station (buses 12 and 13); Fiesole (bus 7 leaving from Pz Libertà.
